It is in no doubt that the school of Jafari has proofs of Imām al-Mahdis (aj) coming, agreed by both Shiah and the Sunni. The sources of the last Imām are recorded in hundreds of books in thousands of hadīths. If you question Imām al-Mahdis (aj) prophecy of returning from the major occultation, youre questioning your belief in the religion of Islām. I, at times, find some people very strange when they start questioning and arguing about certain important issues of Islām of which they have no knowledge of whatsoever! If one is questioning to prove Imām al-Mahdi (aj) directly (and in clear words) from the holy Qurān, ask them to prove the names of the rest of the Imāms (a) or the Khalīfas from the Qurān first, and I bet theyll get their answer. As I said, it is in no doubt that the prophecies are cited in the Qurān and the books of āhādīth (traditions). One requires to have an open mind and heart to digest the truth. Before one allows someone to question the foundation of others beliefs, request their foundation of belief the same manner should you posses the truth. We are not infants that Allāh should feed us with everything, He has given us signs and guidance so that we may use our intellect to know the difference between the false and truth. If a drunkard prays his entire life thinking God will forgives all his sins, he is surely going to burn in hell. Why? Read the Qurān. - my contemplations.
