It is interesting to learn that the National Government is on course to build a K1B Sky Scrapper (32 Floors) in Port Moresby. Funding to be sourced from Tax Credit Scheme from the resource industry. Lease arrangements are currently being organized. I wonder how strategic is this investment for the Nation. What returns are being projected to overshadow the opportunity to align other local investments like agriculture and fishing to realize the true potential of our land and waters. K1B is a significant amount and we need to be informed of the returns of this investment. I guess the National Government will not regulate real estate market after all because it has assume direct involvement in the industry and identified it as a strategic revenue generation stream....On another note, I would think Such investment be best pursued by State Corporations like MRDC whilst the State concentrate on its primary roles in collecting taxes and funding infrastructure and services for the People of PNG....
