It is not because the truth is too difficult to see that we make mistakes... We make mistakes because the easiest and most comfortable course for us is to seek insight where it accords with our emotions.,. Accepting your mistake is the only way to make it disappear. When the Provincial Information Office of Davao del Norte spearheaded the Academedia competition, they distributed the mechanics of the competition which is supposed to be the bible that all participants have to follow. One of the critical aspect of the mechanics is that any form of borrowed photos/videos are not allowed and is a ground for disqualification. Sadly though, the PIO Davao de Norte could not even implement this very simple mechanics and even announce winners which violated this mechanics. If there was an addendum verbally spoken, they should have simply changed the mechanics also and distributed it to the participants again.The addendum was done in lieu of the participants coming from the basic education. And that was very clearly stated as the reason why borrowed photos and videos for the basic education entries are allowed. But that addendum was not for the higher education level. In any court of law, written documents weighs heavier than any spoken words. It is an insult to the participants which made an effort to create an entry based on the guidelines of the mechanics when you announce winners who have clearly violated it. 15 days to analyze a simple complaint is prepostorous. No wonder why the government is labeled to have the worst service in our country. The evidence is very clear in the mechanics, Accepting that there was an error on their part should be a good start. Sadly though, they let pride come into play even when the evidence (written mechanics) is already very clear.Saying sorry for the inconvenince would suffice at this stage. But then again, perhaps that was also too difficult for them to swallow. However, we trust that the Provincial Information Office will do the right action on this matter. Our students had worked so hard for this one and we have incurred plenty of expenses just to follow that mechanics. Isnt it unfair to announce a winner which clearly violated the mechanics?. They do not deserve this kind of incompetence from the PIO Davao del Norte in organizing the said competition. Our photos and videos are all original, theirs are copied and downloaded. It doesnt take a genius to comprehend the situation. But 15 days is 15 days and according to our PIO Davao del Norte Officer they should not be compelled to act immediately at our request.
