It is noticeable the enthusiasm of anti-Indian sentiment amongst BNP-JAMAT-HEFAJOT activists whenever they talk in social gatherings or communicate in social medias. Quite often, their talks and expressions are offensive toward general Indian citizens or religiously targeted group of people. In many occasions those comments are vulgar and cheap lacking any serious insights or thought in them. They do not understand that ordinary citizens of any country or follower of a particular religious belief have nothing to do with the policy of the ruling class that determine international relations between countries. The rulers of the countries make policies to serve their class interest best. Not surprising that those reactionary forces try to instigate racial, religious and communal soft feelings of our fellow citizens to fish in trouble water rather than defending national interest. Thus, when it comes about real challenge to save national interests against the aggression of Indian expansionism neither do their parental political parties nor do the passionate activists of these parties speak a single word against such aggression. I have met so many of such activists over the last 30 years and noticed that they talk passionately about Farakka dam and relate pretty much every water and environment related issues in Bangladesh with it. However, when the sitting BAL government is implementing the Ram Pal Coal Based Power Plant, which is threatening the very existence of the Sundarbans, hence, much of the southwest part of Bangladesh, none of these political parties, their leaders, and activists did speak a single word so far against such a colossally destructive project. What a hypocrisy! On the other hand, the left wing political parties and their activists, environmentalists and intellectuals are fighting their level best to deter such destructive projects every single time putting their live on the line. Salute to them for their honesty, integrity and patriotism.
