It is only in our good old contraption that a man who is on the run from the law will have the temerity to issue ‘press releases’ to the effect that ‘he will not be silenced’. Ex-Minister Nasie el-Rufai’s continuing childish pranks of running and probably hiding in some forsaken places is rather quite strang – at least this loquacious brat ought to have had the courage to bear responsibilities for his malfeasance. This coming on the heels of news that President Goodluck Jonathan is shielding ex-Dictator and presiding brute over Nigeria’s ‘Reign of Evil’, Olusegun Obasanjo, from questioning and likely investigation and prosecution by the States Security Services makes one really begin to wonder if the present administration realizes the need to stem the slide down the path of infamy and lawlessness occasioned by the antics and posturing of anarchist elements in the polity who erroneously labor under the belief of invincibility. A restructured and renegotiated polity will avoid such pitfalls.
