It is rare to see a sequel that is just as good as the original - TopicsExpress

It is rare to see a sequel that is just as good as the original but 22 Jump Street is crazier, funnier, and more meta than the last outing. In fact, the whole gag seems to be making fun of how asininely stupid a sequel is and it works for the most part. The chemistry is still strong between Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, the script is as sharp as ever, and the meta humor is well executed despite being essentially the same film. This should be considered a recommendation for both films when I say that 21/22 Jump Street are truly clever/subversially funny satires of the buddy cop action genre.
