It is such an honor and privilege to be a part of Lanas life and to have the opportunity to teach her new things! However, I am amazed at the things she is teaching me and how God is using her to show me things He wants ME to learn! She spent the night with us Sunday night and it was getting close to bedtime. We have all been trying, unsuccessfully may I add, to convince her it is time to throw her paci away! I had her paci in my hand and sat down in the rocking chair. I called her to me and she refused to come. Called her another time or two and she still refused. She wanted her paci and didnt know I had it in my hand! When she realized her Papa was headed her way she decided it was time to come get in my lap! I showed her the paci and she wanted it really bad! I said, No because you didnt come to me when I called you. You were disobedient so now you have to wait until you get in bed. She realized what she had done and didnt ask for it again until we were in bed. As I thought on this, The Lord spoke to my heart and said, How many times have I had something for YOU in MY hand and when I called for you, you wouldnt come!!!! Thru rebellion and disobedience, you missed out on something you desperately wanted! Wow!! What a lesson for me!!! But seek ye first the kingdom of God , and his righteousness ; and all these things shall be added unto you . Matthew 6:33
