It is that time of year again! Paint Canada Pink week running from Saturday, June 29th through Friday, July 5. This marks 100 days until the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Paint Canada Pink Week activities are led by the Red Deer Run Committee volunteers and this is the third year that the campaign has partnered with local businesses to bring awareness about the Canadian Breast Cancer, CIBC Run for the Cure. The businesses support the event by featuring a “Pink Treat” during the Paint Canada Pink week and donate all or a percentage of the sales to the Red Deer Run for the Cure event. That is where you come in! Stop by Chocolates by Bernard Callebaut on Tuesday, July 2; Second Cup at South Point Common on Friday, July 5th and Saturday, July 6th; and Cutie Pies at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday July 6th to try each of their pink treats.
