It is the 12 anniversary of 9/11. It always amazes me how different my own experiences and memories of 9/11 are. I was living in the U.P. at MTU at the time. I still had classes, nothing was cancelled and nothing was shut down. I was starting what would become the hardest and most life changing semester of my life, 18 credit hours of pure math and science while still attempting to be 2nd chair jazz trombone for the MTU big band. My life was more impacted by what 9/11 did to legitimize the Bush administration.
