It is time for something adorable...a video from our Seedlings Preschool Program! The students are playing with loose parts. Loose parts can be natural and/or man-made materials. At the Garden weve been building our collection of safe, natural materials from our own desert landscape. Seed pods, saguaro ribs, cactus skeletons, rocks, etc. Free Play with loose parts encourages brain development, scientific experimenting, mathematical thought, risk taking, and trial and error learning. Children experience daily inspiration, a chance to think and problem solve, and an opportunity to be creative.
