It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the closing of Johnnys Hometown Diner. I have been so lucky to have been able to realize my dream, and to have met so many wonderful people in the process. Alas, a restaurant is more than a dream, it is still a business, and a business has to make a profit to survive. Between start-up costs, the high costs of utilities, and the daily costs of operations, we simply could not make the math work. It breaks my heart, because my dream became the dream of so many others, and the love and support I have received the past two years is unbelievable. Johnnys is everything I wanted it to be, except profitable. I am still smiling, because I am still proud of what we did here, and I am so happy knowing that I am surrounded by so many caring and loving family members, friends, employees and customers, all of whom I now consider family. There are not enough ways for me to say thank you. I am sure over the next couple of days, I will be adding more to my message here. I will soon have For Sale or Lease info., etc. For now, I will simply say thank you, once again. I love you all. It has been quite a ride...
