It is with a very sad heart, I pass along that our dear friend, art collector, music supporter and long time arts advocate Hugh Hanson Davidson has passed away. Alan and I were on our way to visit Hugh in Victoria and prepare the last of the amazing works from his collection he is donating to the Gallery only to find out he was in intensive care after major heart surgery. In October we wrapped up two days of cataloging, with wonderful conversations, and so many delightful stories with Roger Boulet and Hugh and another great visit just recently with some of Hughs family so they could see the works he had already donated several years ago. The KAGs library is named after Hugh, after he not only donated his collection to us, but also his lovely library of art books. He will be sorely missed by so many family and friends near and far away, especially those who got to enjoy his artful mischief. My very sad heart is with his amazing family during these difficult times.
