It is with extreme pleasure to announce that Nyx will be artificially inseminated with Jaeger within the next two weeks. Our beautiful girl will be traveling to OH this week to meet Dr. Hutchinson and Dr. Pentacost, Reproduction specialists to schedule this breeding and finally move our lines forward. This has been a breeding in the making for the better part of 10 years and would not have been possible without the help of Kathy McGranahan Teller and Ina Mcdonald and of course CJs Shiloh Shepherds who started our whole kennel with one amazing boy. This breeding introduces out cross through the Devaki lines, thank you Sharron Wright, old lines through Galen and we brought it all together in a line breeding. Nyx possesses not only the white recessive but also the black recessive gene, although based on Jaegers previous litters we suspect a whole litter of Jaeger Laursen look a likes. Health testing on both parents has been extensive and good and now it is time to move them forward together. Please keep your fingers crossed for a good outcome with the repro specialists as this will be the first Jaeger litter to be produced after he passed and 6 years since he last sired a litter.
