It is with great heartache I have to report that due to our vet reporting and confirmed by an independent doctor, Poppa Bear, who was suffering greatly with chronic degenerative disease, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He was not alone, he was not fearful, he was at peace having gotten so much love and attention this past week as they made their way to Miss Audrey and her home. He seemed to know that they were safe, that his sister was going to be taken care of, and he just gave up. He knows that Sophie will be safe in the home that Audrey has given them, his work is done and he can rest in peace, watching over all the angels that helped him. He is greatly loved by a village, one that worked hard to save he and his sister Sophie from MDAS. This is the hardest thing for any rescue to do and without confidence in the medical professionals I work with so closely, I would not be so sure of decisions like this, but his pain and suffering from all those years of neglect/abuse had taken its toll on his body. We all knew his heart was pure and full of love, especially for sister Sophie.
