It is with great pleasure that I wish all Deltans in particular and Nigerians at large ‘a very happy and prosperous new year. The year 2015 is our year of hope and great expectations, when our legacy projects and the solid foundations that have been laid for sustainable development will be fully consolidated in the interests of our people. As we match proudly into the year 2015, with great hopes and expectations; the commencement of the process for installing new leadership in our State and the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan will come to a high point this year. I expect our citizens to participate actively in all stages of both process so as to reap the benefits that accrue from there. No one and no leader of the future will make the mistake to return this State to the dark days of strife, impunity and ad-hoc process.. I expect the year 2015 and beyond to yield greater achievements and value expectations for this State! I am confident that with the solid foundations that have been laid for the sustainable transformation of the socio-economic and political sectors of our society, the further development of Nigeria from 2015 and beyond will be on auto-pilot. I will continue to support and contribute to the drive for the restructuring and re-engineering of Delta to a level where everything is not only changing for the better, but also strengthened to be self-propelling. Let me remind all Deltans and Nigerians at large not to forget how we have gotten this far, so as not to derail from our new direction! Finally, I cannot stop commending all Deltans and other Nigerians for the support you have given me and are still giving. Let us continue to pray and also make personal sacrifices if required towards achieving our collective dream of a new and better Delta State characterized by economic stability, security and the prosperity of our people. On this note, I once again wish all Deltans and Nigerians a happy and prosperous New Year, 2015, and may all your dreams for the year come true! God bless Delta State, The Big Heart!
