It is with great regret that we wish to announce that our Chairman George Sermon who has been in office for some 4 years will be stepping down with immediate effect. George has cited the fact that he no longer has the energy or enthusiasm to take the club forward. He will continue to offer his support as and when required until the end of the season but will no longer be the point of contact for the club. George sends his best wishes and thanks to all members and supporters and wishes the Comets the best of luck for the remainder of the 2014 season. During George’s tenure the club has raised a total of £12,085p, for the riders fund plus an additional £5,742 which has been donated to the club and the safety fence fund. On behalf of our members the WSSC committee would like to take the opportunity to thank George for all his hard work over the past 4 years and wish him well for the future. The remainder of the committee will be reviewing the situation over the next couple of days and will issue a statement based upon our intent for the future of the Club.
