It is with regret that I tell you my record store, Digitalferret Compactdiscs, will cease operating at the end of this month. This will not effect Draculas Ball, Vision Thing, Tribe, The MTG Place or any of my other ventures. Joe Scott, who has been the store manager for over a decade, is now raising funds via IndieGogo to keep the space open. Joe plans to share the space with a second, compatible record store if he is able to get funded. Nobody is looking for handouts here - all of the rewards for contributing include music. Contribute for as little as $3 (and get some legal MP3s) or go all-out and have private shopping experience at the store. There are plenty of other levels of contribution. It was my pleasure to rescue the store from being closed many years ago when its former owner moved to California. Its my hope that youll help Joe rescue the store now as I focus on my other work. Part of my job as a promoter is to always ask yall to share this, share that...but Joe is stepping up in a big way and has a short amount of time to work with.
