It is with sadness we inform you that Scott Luit, sessional instructor in Communication Design, has passed away. He is survived by his wife Christine and daughters Jessica and Emma. A private funeral has been held in Ottawa. Scott worked as an instructor in Visual Communications teaching Advertising courses from 2007 to 2010. Scott’s involvement with ACAD students and alumni extended beyond his teaching into professional practice mentoring. This work was very important to him. ACAD is pleased to respond to the family’s request to hold a celebration of Scott’s life and work in the Stanford Parrott Lecture Theatre on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 1:00 pm. On behalf of Dr. Daniel Doz, President of ACAD and all of us as community members, we want to express our deepest condolences to Scott’s family.
