It is with the deepest regret that I pass on the information - TopicsExpress

It is with the deepest regret that I pass on the information received that Stephen Frank, renown British falconer passed away Saturday morning after a brief stay in hospital. Steve was a real gentleman, a falconer’s falconer and, truly one of the BFC icons (with Geoffrey Pollard and Roger Upton) who brought grouse hawking in Scotland back to its prominent and deserved place following World War II. A gentleman, famed not only for his hawks but for his Embercombe line of English Pointers, he was totally devoted to the sport. A generous host, his soup pot, simmering on the back of the stove in his cottage on the moor at Birichen. With his passing the whole world of falconry is the poorer. -Kent Carnie
