It is with the deepest regret that I post this message… Our beloved brother Jon Heake has passed away! I tried calling him a few days ago and he did not answer. Fortunately, I had asked Jon for his Landlords phone number a few months ago, just in case something happened and I could not reach him. Well, I called Bob, his Landlord, at 11:45 this evening (Dec. 3rd) to have him check on Jon. When he answered, he said he too had not heard nor seen Jon for several days. I waited on the phone for a few minutes while Bob went to check on Jon. I honestly had a feeling something was wrong. When Bob returned to the phone he said, “I’m sorry to tell you this Tony, but Jon is dead!” Tears welled up in my eyes, of course… I loved Jon... he was as close to me as any brother could be! Over the last few years Jon, Kenny Lovelett and I spoke frequently… catching up on old times and such. As many of you know, Jon, Kenny and I played together in various bands for many years. I’m unable to write much more at this point, but I will post additional information as I receive it. My brother Jon was 65. If it is any comfort... I do believe we will see Jon again some day... in Heaven! My love to all... Tony
