It is with the saddest of hearts I have to announce the passing of our Zombie hunter Caesar the Brave. After losing his leg to Osteosarcoma during the Summer, we got a call today that he has just not been himself lately, no energy etc... We rushed to pick him up as DR Heather Puksta is his cancer Dr and was scheduled to evaluate him in Jan anyway. So, we just went ahead and got him today.. what we found was the Cancer had returned and was in his lungs.. both sides. There was NOT going to be a good outcome and he was in pain. So it was tearfully agreed to give him some Donuts an Treats and surround him with love and let him go. Friends For Life Animal Rescue and Adoption Organization - Houston, Texas the last few months he has been playing with his sister Fifi and a little dachshund that he looooved... he was chasing squirrels and being a country gentleman. The family could not have prevented this from happening, its cancer folks, we could not have stopped it.... this is the real gut wrenching part of rescue and the bittersweetness of loving your best friend.... some things cannot be changed. I loved this boy so much !! I will miss him everyday. Thank you to everyone who donated to his care and supported him through their prayers and hugs. Thank you to the staff at Stafford Oaks Veterinary Hospital who fought so hard to save him and who cried with me today. I am so sorry......
