Next step was to get chemo today, NOPE, It appears as though I already have an infection in the new port area, so I am on high powered antibiotics to kick it, and cultures were taken to see what is going on. HOPEFULLY Chemo on Tuesday IF this redness, swelling and hot spot goes down in the chest area of the port. Needless to say my doc was LESS than pleased with the port placement at St. Vincents and was on the phone within 2-3 minutes of seeing me today to raise a stink.
