It now arsises that our letters have broken protocol by going direct to every branch club and the Secretary of the General Committee , the letters have to be suppressed and not read out at any meetings as we have broken every rule of communication , If that is the case we have nowhere else to turn , it seems their is a campaign to silence us as our facebook page which held the original post and had over 1000 likes and 200 shares was reported as an individual rather than a group and had to be re registered losing everything that was on it , it is back up with the statement on it and is being shared again . We have to make it 100% transparent here this was never done to undermine or go around the back of anyone or any committee , we met with the highest committee in Scotland whose answers on our questions were inadequate and insulting to be honest , and if needs be a full account of the meeting and every single thing said at it can be sent to general committee through our branch clubs that we parade with an official ABOD seal on it . We felt we had no other option than to put our side of the case forward , the reason for this rule coming in is quite clearly to do with the hiding of illegal standards in colour parties and not enough blue coats prepared to do the job , we have this is official correspondence from the SAC . We knew the letters would be cast aside , and ripped up , just like un-German books were burned when they didnt agree with the ruling bodies , but the content of those letters was exactly to a word what is in our original statement , nothing more nothing less . It was a plea to the guys on the ground not the hierachy as we have already met and been dismissed by them , and their reasons very clear as to why this rule has been brought in . We wish no further debate on this as there will almost certainly be a campaign to turn this into a slagging match to detract from the real purpose of the statement , our band have been instructed to a man not to comment on this , any further comment shall come through either myself or our official band pages greengairsthistlefluteband.webs/ or https://facebook/greengairs.thistle.904 . All we seek is that people read and decide for themselves , and if the new rule comes in then we accept it is the majority opinion held by Apprentice Boys and our link shall be severed , but we couldnt allow such a crucial vote to take place that directly affects us without at least putting our side of the story across ,we would rather die on our feet than live on our knees .
