It really blows my mind that some hospitals think they can dictate to you when youre going to work regardless of the actual hours to which you agreed. Further, it lets me know just how much work used to consume my life and how ridiculously accommodating I was to work a little longer, harder, one more shift, etc., to be a team player and because I didnt know how to say very simply no when people I used to work with regard me with shock and awe when I say no and keep it moving without explanation, even giving me an attitude as if I owe them something. Pardon me, but Im off to go get my damn life because the most important thing Ive learned after 10 years in nursing is that the first person that deserves this good good nursing care I provide is ME. #healthyself #selfcare
