It s always fascinating to see how the events sometime turn around and face those who were championing and propnents of a certain course without taking a due introspective of themselves. I want to believe that the current sitting President of Sudan Mr Al Bashir is and has been a President of his cauntry and people. The Icc indicts people that it suspects to have committed crime against Humanity, fine, President Bashir was indicted and there was a summit held in 2012 in Nairob, Kenya he too was supposed to attend. The Kenyan people prepared themselves to demonstrate against his presence and the Judge of High court in Kenya issued a warrant of arrest for him, all was based on indictment issued against him by ICC, consequently, he could not attend the Summit fearing arrest. Last saturday the 12 October 2013 an EXTAR-ORDINARY AU summit was held at AUs headquarter in Adiss Abab, Ethiopia upon Kenyas request apparently for African states to review their relations with ICC following the indictment by ICC of President Uhuru Kenyata and his Vice president William Ruto to stand trial over the 2007 Election violence and the killings of some 1200 people. The Kenyans are now making us to understand that according to the Roman statute, no sitting President shall be proscuted. If that s the case, was the Roman statute not in existence in 2012 ? President Al Bashir was he not a sitting president in Sudan like Uhuru and Ruto in Kenya? Sitting president is defined and determined by who and what, if some are seem to be disregarded? Are the Kenyan more African than the Sudanese or the Kenyan peoples lives are less value than the lives of Sudanese people? Hypocrites! It s time for hypocrisy to end in Africa. God s watching every day and all the time!!
