It saddens me that suddenly our Kiowa Elders Xmas Event has been cast aside to accommodate another event. These elders will not share a meal, speak our precious language amongst one another, nor may not ever see each other again ... we have lost so many in the past year. My mom looks forward to this event as she doesnt get out very much. But another event has taken precedence over our beloved elders and then to add more insult our children also being used as pawns in this series of manipulation. The event scheduled could have scheduled on the next day or perhaps have been incorporated into the Elders party. Our Kiowa Hero Wondo also is part of the Chess Game .... Im sure unknowingly. It would have been wonderful for him to be the honored guest & would have made the elders happy to meet our celebrity and be part of the documentary he will be filming. Instead the current Kiowa leadership will continue on their path of deceit and misrepresentation of how our Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma remains strong and continues to grow & strives to improve when in reality only the entourage benefits!
