It saddens me to hear but strengthen me to see what is happening to Christianity as I too once turned away from the church as I knew nothing about it. The excuses our generation are using are just stupid and I laugh as I was one who was attacking the church. I was just finding excuses and reasons to turn away from going to Church and from God.!Just so I can live my life and do things my way. Excuses ive heard are My children attend a Catholic School and that is enough or I dont need to goto mass as im a good person that is enough. We are not called to be good people but called to be holy people. But the worst excuses are. I dont like the priest or that family sitting in front of me or I dont like what the church teaches or what that women is wearing. Just excuses. We are human and make mistakes. But these are the teachings of Jesus and our early church fathers dating back to 110 AD. Ive noticed the people who are making noise are the same ones blinded by attachment of this world and sin. If you feel the same way you did walking into church then you did walking out well im sorry to say these something wrong and your not understand the mass.... Yesterday I was so angry with myself instead of letting it get the better of me and react, I went to church and honestly walked out a different person with a smile on my face. The more ive learnt about my faith the less I actually know. If you havent studied Catechism I recommend you do. I went to my first class last night and was blown away on how much I didnt know. People speak of their faith but trust me if you think you know everything you truly know nothing as living in this world is not the same as learning from it ... This world is a breeding ground for Saints. Let nothing disturb you,let nothing trouble you everything passes. God alone remains. With thousands of roads before us that lead nowhere, going in circles. There really are only two roads we will either travel, one going to heaven, or the other to hell. The only thing that has changed in my life is that ive put God before anyone and anything in this life. And if my words hurt or offend you well im sorry as the TRUTH has truly set me free so maybe I can set someone free...
