It saddens me to see so many people in our community with little - TopicsExpress

It saddens me to see so many people in our community with little or no respect for other less fortunate people. The practice of illegally parking in disabled spaces is happening too frequently. I have communicated this issue to the Shire, unfortunately they do not have the resources to police this illegal and selfish practice. Not only the location of these spaces provide easier access to facilities, the spaces themselves are wider, so allows for car doors to be opened fully as to enable a person to exit the vehicle with wheelchairs, walking frames etc with relative safety. I would like to encourage other members of our community to make posts to identify these people in an attempt to reduce this obnoxious practice. I have in the past approached people parking in these reserved spaces to have received back a barrage of abusive language that would make a mine worker blush, along with threats of physical violence. This has been done while I have had my 3year old child with me, so therefore I no longer approach people on this matter. Whoever parked the below vehicle (that had no disabled card on the dash) shame on you. Particularly when you can see so many other empty spaces.
