It seems Im fighting a never-ending battle at the farmers market - TopicsExpress

It seems Im fighting a never-ending battle at the farmers market in Gainesville. For the first two months I was hassled for giving out samples of our sausage. I was told I needed a license from the state to give out samples. Angela and I researched and contacted the appropriate department and got officially licensed Today as a temporary restaurant vendor just to be able to give out FREE samples to customers. Btw the license cost $450.00. Then the market manager proceeded to tell me after the inspector left that the board members of the market dont want people to cook food for customers. Apparently the other vendors at the market are ticked that my pork is the best available at the market and I am stealing their business. They think we will back down and submit to their wishes. All I got to say is COME AT US DAWG!! I couldnt stand it anymore today and I told the market master that this is all ridiculous and if he had any issues he or the board members could contact our lawyer at the Farm to consumer legal defense fund, Pete Kennedy. He never came back to our booth when I called his bluff.
