It seems Spiros Kapetanakis wants to start a conversation - TopicsExpress

It seems Spiros Kapetanakis wants to start a conversation regarding the state of coworking in Greece, the state of the startup ecosystem in Greece and more. Ill happily add to this conversation. My comments will be real (some may be bitter, please excuse me for this) - I will not hold any punches. The events of the last two weeks with regard to coLab (I remind everyone that my official involvement was until mid February 2013) and then suddenly again two weeks ago. These events have been severe and very painful. Lets discuss openly. Lets discuss the value that the spaces provide, the extent of their effectiveness as levers of change, lets also discuss values, integrity, responsibility, actions and reactions. Lets discuss how a space should operate. How its supporters should act - what their expectations might be and what our expectations as owner/operators/conveners/organisers/activists etc. etc. etc. Spiros and I have already discussed this and were in agreement with regard to having a public, earnest and intelligent discourse. We are the fathers of coworking in Greece and will remain attached by this one element forever, despite the outcome. Spiros asks a few questions, makes a few points, let us as a community give him our opinion as well as support. I will happily answer any questions from you, Spiros, the other shareholder(s) of coLab or other coworking spaces. I want to be clear: I gave birth to coLab together with Spiros and no father wants the death of their child.
