It seems as if people want to run for the board with their own agenda in mind - if these new people want to change the league so drastically, why dont they just start a new league. Yes its called New Paltz Womens softball because it is based in New Paltz, yes we use neighboring fields because we compete with the men for fields too. Everyone wants to play. I think those on the board have a job to do and that is to represent the members of the league and not have their own agenda. Maybe as a league we take a vote - Im sure there is some sort of by-laws or constitution for the league that we need to follow. Put the changes out to the current members and take a vote - do we want to change name? Do we want to expand to use other fields? Im only seeing a few posting here so Im sure not many in the league access this site so again I believe we need to look at the by-laws and constitution of the league and see what procedure is. Also I think team captains need to be made aware of all possible changes and get feed pack from players on teams. Just my two cents.
