It seems its the in thing right now to bash Officers. That is a sad, but true account of America today. Are we perfect? No. Are there bad Officers? Yes, as there are SOME bad preachers, teachers, scientist, doctors, etc. However, the vast majority of Officers are the very best of mankind. I truly believe that many of us are called to be LE Officers, its what we were destined to be. We go above and beyond, day in and day out. We work long hours with little to no breaks, we have to see the public when its at it worst, we see horrific things, funny things and even you aint gonna believe this shit things. If you know us, you know we have hearts as big as Texas and compassion as wide as the Mississippi River. If you dont know us but happen to be around us off duty, you are likely to be offended by our foul mouths, sick sense of humor, how much we drink and by all the war stories we are sure to tell. I said all of that to say this, even in this day and time where its in to hate the Police, I wouldnt change a single thing. I love what I do. I wouldnt take another job if it paid 3x what I earn now. Im called, to be a Cop. Despite the negative press, the protestors, the riots, I will proudly wear my badge and know that I am making a difference. I will continue to handle each case as if the victim was a family member. The blue family is large and its made up of the best of the best. I can assure you, there is no other family/profession with as many damn fine individuals in it as the blue family.
