It seems to me that this group (and the media) is just trying to cause division. The school admitted that it was one teachers misunderstanding. It would be good customer service of the school to apologize for her mistake if they havent already done so, though. They did clearly say it isnt their policy to forbid reading the bible. It would be more interesting to know why the teacher did this - misunderstanding or antagonistic towards religion? I guess I just tire of things posted with the explicit purpose of sorting people into opposing groups rather than with understanding and wisdom. Its also Christian not to divide the body of Christ purposefully. Hopefully its a little different when I post something that specifically points out that opposing minorities exist that need to be dealt with. When people say they want all bikes off the road and would like to run us over and kill u, well, thats a tad different. 1 Corinthians 10:1-13 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloes people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? Romans 16:17-18 ESV / 92 helpful votes I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. Drew Dianna FenstermacherBruce Speck
