It sounds like a barbecue beach party type of event some time early in the summer is what is going to happen. Any ideas as to what could/would be good ideas for silent auction items? I think well have a few gift cards from coopers, maybe a couple month gym membership, and an online course possibly. Im also looking for a team to help me with organizing the event as well as some people to act as ambassadors to talk to different store owners and managers to help me acquire services and supplies for the event. Coopers is likely going to be backing us again this year so theyll be able to cover us food wise. As well, this year Ill be supplying much better advertisement for the event an those who sponsor us. Im thinking the university news paper might be a good place to start, as well as the university campus. Id like to get sponsors and donors figured out quickly so we can have posters and fliers up early to attract more people. Ill be contacting castanet and some of the local papers with information on the event and hopefully this year the word will get out there. Organizations like to hear that their company and name will be flaunted in fliers and newspapers so this is a huge bargaining chip on our end for sponsors. Location is also something that needs to be taken into consideration, we could always commandeer the gazebo at Beasly but the water there isnt very enticing for beach goers, any other ideas for location?
