It started for the Bush Fire Brigades, (as they were called then), on Tuesday the 22/1/91, wild storms from Camden to Newcastle. Lynwood Park started its week long campaign in Wahroongh. I remember asking Dick Claxton if I could use the chainsaw? He said, any experience? I said, Ive seen the Texas Chainsaw Massacre three times and tripped over one once! He said close enough, dont chop your leg off, its all yours. Well not really, but that was the start of my obsession with chainsaws.
