It take a special kind of stupid to think this makes sense and then call this nurse out for her opinion. I for one think its an inflammatory show, maybe for political agendas as I am reading more into this. I dont know ...its way overboard on speculation. .. Quarantine for some not all....? How can you justify her being quarantined and not the people she has been in contact with or will com in contact with? Not the staff? The plane was not taken out of service for Decon. .. even the damn health officials they show are coming and going with out PPE. What about her man? Why not the countless others who handled actual infected persons? The EMS workers were never taken out of service rather self monitoring. no quarantine for them. You can show All the people you want in hazmat suits (overkill.) Without proper training and strict procedures that all means nothing. And given her credentials I would say she is better versed than the many shelf declared experts. It is not completely based off of science. Some how peopl have the idea that you can catch this by unrealistic means. It is transmitted by body fluids... so many others threats exist that no one thinks twice about. Yet lets all jump on the hysteria band wagon. I am not against the quarantine. Rather how they are handling it. This is an all or none deal... you quarantine everyone. Or else how can you say one is a risk but not the other. No doubt this will either be a politically charged fight or someone will become ill. I will not judge this woman, those that do need to consider how their actions and activities could also be scrutinized in the same manner. I do not support her. I am just a realist this is either all hype much like the countless other media driven threats this decade has seen... bird flu, SARS, ecoli. ...etc Or much worse than they say in which case they have not done nearly enough to protect us.
