It took me a few minutes to get a direct link to this post. Im guessing that once the owners had Blue Boots declawed on all four paws that they didnt check his paws all that often. Ive a boy that I had to have a poly nail and dew claw on the front feet of one of my cats, years and years ago, and when we are trimming nails, I still reach for his dew claw (the thumb nail). Yes, declawing still happens in the US. A four paw declaw is not that common anymore, thank goodness, but it still happens. One reply on the thread: He is a very happy, healthy boy now. All healed up and being spoiled in MN. No more issues reported. DDH
