It took me a while to realize what our problem is musically in Detroit. Primarily, we have no standards. We refuse to raise the bar for three reasons. 1, we dont TRULY invest in ourselves on a level past mediocrity. We settle for what we can get For the low or, on the love.... 2, we dont think about quality.... As long as the bass is hittin hard, it dont matter if the vocals sound like trash or not.... 3, alotta people only do this for quicc hood fame. No real love for the music, just that fame of it. Yall grind succs, and it reflects on the state of Detroit music as a whole. This is why Im grateful that my music is loved everywhere else. Im grateful that all of my BLACK GUV FAMILY & EXTENDED FAMILY, sounds nothin like that typical, predictable Detroit mediocre music.
