It was 10 years today that we said good-bye to our son Paul! He had fouhgt the battle of suffering for 25 years resulting from a brain tumor. It was about 7;10 AM that heaven recieved our prrecious Paul. We still miss him, but know he is rejoicing in the presence of our Lord! It was sometime after Paul died that I read 2 Corthinians 1:3-4; Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in in any trouble, by the comfort where with we ourselves are comforted of God. It was after our sons death that God led Doris and me to establish PRH Ministries. The PRH are the initial of our sons name. Our intent was that we would establish an on going ministry in our sons memory and after I retired from Pastoring, I would minister under the PRH Ministries. PRH now has a dual meaning; P-Proclaiming the Word of God: R- Reaching the lost: H- Helping the hurting. I now travel nearly every week speaking in churches, colleges, and any other open doors of opportunties God gives me. PRH is a Faith ministry. We go to serve without charge; we trust God to meet our needs and are trying to recruit 400 Prayer Partners to pray for our ministry. I am often ask to preach our testimonial message, Five Lessons we learn From Tragedy. I also preach Bible Conferences, Revivals, etc. We also go on short-term mission trps. In June I will be going to Uganda. Please pray for us ! Our son desired to be a Preacher! His ministry will live on through PRH! God has comforted us through these10 years and now we seek to comfort others, especially Pastors! My closing thought comes from the title of a book I read after our sons death,Dont Waste your Sorrows. I do not remember the author, but the thought from the title still speaks to me. Use your hurts and experiences in life to bless someone! God bless and have a great day!
