It was 20 years ago but seemed like just yesterday the following folks and yours truly were pulling out our hair and biting our fingernails preparing for our January 1, 1995 debut of News 30 Now: Carol Scheer Dennigmann, Leslie Lyles Middleton, Lou Jakovac, Wade Smith, Michael Shelton, Terry Cancila, Joby Smith, George Wise, Nancy Tully, Bill McCormac, Jim Thomas, George Matz, Andy Banker, Julia Bishop, Amy Fenster, Jim Wicks, Steve Jerve, Susan Hiland, Mitch Roberts...theres a ton of names and too short a memory and a FB friends list to list them all so Ill let some of you fill in other names and tell us where they are today.. Jeff J Pelletier and Don Marsh joined us later in 1995. What I remember is our second month on-air, February, we beat Channel 11 in the Nielsen at 9pm. When we were forced to do 3 newscasts a day staring in August after switching affilliations to ABC, the magic was gone. A lot of hype led up to our first newscast, 20 years ago.
