It was a beautiful day in Delacroix today for fishing. Three charter boats went out of Sweetwater and all boats had a decent number of trout and limits of reds as well as a few black drum and sheepshead. Other boaters whom went out as well caught lots of Reds and Bass. There were more bass than reds today. Over the weekend boaters caught lots of Redfish. Some familiar areas of fishing are Bay Lafourche and Lake Campo. Basically fish the outer edges of marshes. We have rooms available this Saturday if anyone is interested. Charters and lodging are still available for May and are booking quickly as well as for June. A small deposit will hold your date. Call the lodge for details and reservations. We will let everyone know ASAP when we have live shrimp. And just a reminder ---gift certificates are available for that hunter/fisherman (woman) in your life. So come visit us in Delacroix at Sweetwater Marina where customer service is KING. Need help launching your boat? No problem. Fish cleaning when available. Need your vehicle parked so you can just hop in your boat and go? That’s also not a biggie. We even have a taxi service!
