It was a distinct pleasure to return to the Knickerbocker Bar & Grill last Fri. & Sat.10/3&4/2014 I was honored to have in the audience the great Jazz Saxophonist George Coleman We had a wonderful chat between sets. I always admired his work on MilesSeven Steps to Heaven album Especially So Near, So Far The last time I played the Knickerbocker was in 2011 when hurricane Sandy hit. We were able to perform as a Trio on Friday but on Saturday the authorities closed off access to Manhattan so my Pianist couldnt get in from Peekskill. As a result we performed as a Duo until Midnight and did our best to get home by hailing an occasional patrolling cab . As the slashing rain battered the vehicle I gave a sigh of relief when I got home safely.
