It was a great privilege to speak at Univ. of Maryland last night about our film A Quest For Meaning. And even better to have renowned mythologist Verlyn Flieger attend the screening of our rough cut of the film as part of the universitys celebration of the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. Dr. Flieger was introduced to the crowd as the worlds foremost expert on Tolkiens work. So when the Tolkien questions came my way, I was able to defer to the master. Dr. Flieger appears in our film about the friendship and spiritual companionship shared by Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. She shares the screen with religious scholar Reza Aslan, Lewis expert Dr. Chris Mitchell, Tolkien expert Tom Shippey and the legendary quantum physicist Rev. Dr. Sir John Polkinghorne. The film will air nationwide on pub tv in 2015 - and well be presenting it again in just 3 weeks at the annual C.S. Lewis Festival in northern Michigan.
