It was a happy anniversary indeed! Im so grateful for 12 years of exploring love, life and the world with Tyler! I look forward to many more years and many new adventures! Today began at the agrotourismo Stara Stala, a real-deal working farm. Multiple generations of family make up the settlement where they primarily raise animals and vegetables to feed themselves and guests to the restaurant/B&B. They do sell vegetables to a re-seller who takes their goods to market. After breakfast we took a tour of the farm with young Arman. We learned about everything from the young calf waiting to go out to pasture with the others, to the hogs and chickens, greenhouses, and row crops, crop rotations and cover crops, silage and hay system, seed starting and his favorite tractor tools, house wine-making and even the bottles of homemade grappa sunning on the balcony ledge, and more. Arman says he wants to stay on the farm and continue the next generation. I do wonder what the future holds for farms like this.
