It was a hard time for many to fathom, we were so young with no idea of what & where our troops were being deployed into a foreign land would mean or what it would bring home to this country. I remember when the troops began to return, it was if they were the enemy. The indignities of war they suffered were horrendous but what they returned to here in their homeland was much worse. Watching the POWs embarking from the planes & dropping to the ground to kiss this soil is in grained in my brain. As the years have gone by we have not done enough to overcome even a small amount of their suffering. With the help of programs like the Wounded Warrior Project, with our troops being deployed to countries such as Iraq I pray we have learned just a little better how to help them & a great deal MORE PRIDE for the ones who sacrifice so much for so may who seem to want to give so little. To our troops who are over in other countries fighting for someone elses FREEDOMS may you know that there are those of us here thinking of you, praying for you and waiting for your safe return home. More Government officials should listen to the first part of this video, for what President John F. Kennedy had to say that day still resonates through the lives of our troops & the American people such as we are. THANK YOU USA SERVICEMEN & WOMEN .....YOU ARE WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST....
