It was a slow day. The night has creep-ed up on me sooner than I expected. I was out of breath and cold. Thinking I should have warn a hoodie, but I didnt think I would need it. Im on my way home right now and still only a few blocks away from downtown. Took a deep breath and finally I peeked around the corner to see if it was clear. With no one in sight I dash to the other side of the intersection towards Adeline. Ok, I said, with a faint heart. As I take a swig of water from my jug and swing it back around my left side and move on. Visions of my family flash before my eyes-mom, dad, both dead. Been trying to call my Brother for days, but no anwser. Last time I talked to Jason, him and Ben were maintaing what they could and found shelter somewhere along the bluff. I lost radio contact from them this morning and I still cant reach them. Now it only seems like yesterday when everthing was normal. Goofing around on the line at work like it aint no thing. Then all of sudden its choas and Im stabbing my co-worker in the eye and decapitating him with a metal spatula. People were infected with some virus the Government made for bio-warfare. Turning the dead into the living and the living into the dead. The whole world is falling apart and theirs no stopping it. Alright, Its a straight shot down this alley and Im home free! I was saying to myself as I turned the corner. My soft-eyes kicked in and I made my move. Everything seemed normal so far. I reach the end of the alley and thought to myself, yeah, no Walkers! only to find that the front of my house was infested. A group of Walkers got a hold of whatever left of my cat. Ah, hell no, you did not just eat my cat! Without hesitating I ran to the closet one in front of me. I lunged from the sidewalk onto the street kneeing him in the chest. Grabbing his left arm on the way down. Then I stomped his face in and ripped off his arm in one motion. I could hear the other ones behind me so I use the severed arm like a bat and swing for the fences. Knocked three of them down, leg sweep the other one on my right, and I back away. Distancing myself I reach behind my backpack and pull out my Kitana. I slash my way threw the front gate, blood painting the sky like it was a canvas. Only one left. A small girl. Probably no older than one of my little cousins back home. Now just a cruel reminder of what to come. She creeps forward. ...sigh swoosh! shink! There goes her arms and feet flying into the air. Her body tumbles forth. I pick her up by her throat and raise her to eye level. I staired at her for what seemed an for a brief moment. Trying to see if there was any pain in its eyes...then I thought to myself should I kill her with my sawed off or just cut her head off? It only took me a second and I tossed her torso in the air and sliced her in half. I parted her like the red sea and went inside the house. Covered by the colors of my victory and finally home I was safe. for now. Another day alive and still six more hrs before sunrise. The night is still young...
