It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, - TopicsExpress

It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, 15 to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him” (Jude 1:14-15). The walk of faith is established by a proper focus. Case in point: A college student, in preparing to share his faith with some of his fellow students, decided to prepare himself by meditating on a verse from the Bible. He closed his eyes, opened the Bible, and blindly placed his finger on a page. His finger landed directly on Jude 1:15. The verse read, “to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” He repeated the verse to himself a few times to aid in his memorization, closed the Bible, then left for school. As he meditated on the verse, he began to dissect its components. He noted that the reference to ungodliness occurred 4 times. He felt that such a term was not only depressing, but useless as it related to sharing the love of Christ with others. Moreover, the words "execute", "judgment" and "conviction" would be deemed offensive and therefore could not be mentioned. In fact, words like "sinners", and expressions like "harsh things" were considered non-usable for evangelism…so the young student decided to seek a better verse and try again tomorrow. Amid his meditations, however, the student neglected a valuable truth. A Bible word exists within a Bible verse, and a Bible verse dwells amid Bible verses. Bible verses are enveloped in a book and a book is inspired by Christ-centered thought. Had the young man read the Book of Jude, or at least verse fourteen, he would have found that the author’s point centers on the prophesied coming of Jesus Christ. He is coming to make all things right! Such an inspiring message must be shouted from the roof tops. ~K.L.G. 9 (John 6:37)
