It was exactly four years ago today, October 23, 2010 (Saturday), that I walked through the doors at Freedom Life Church for the very first time. Ed and Jamie Lilly were the very first couple to greet and welcome me, and made me feel at ease and loved. For that, I will forever me grateful. I had been praying for God to direct me to where he wanted me to serve, worship, and feel loved and appreciated. I been to two other churches prior to Freedom Life Church (both Baptist) and only felt condemnation and never the presence of God or Jesus living in me. It was at Poquoson Seafood Festival in October 2010 where I found the FLC booth and talked to Pastor Freddy. I told him I would come next week to check it out --- I did. I continued going week after week on Saturday nights, and to my “Baptist” church I was a member of on Sunday Mornings all the way through January of 2011. I did much prayer as to where God wanted me to serve and grow; and it was Freedom Life Church. I became a Covenant Partner at the Christmas Party for Freedom Life Church in December 2010, and left my conservative Baptist church of 13 years in January 2011. I immediately got involved in the Men’s Group, Wednesday night bible classes, attended many social events, and best of all, join in with the First Impressions. I love every second I spend at Freedom Life Church; the Praise and Worship, the style of how the messages are brought, the casual dress attire, and the genuine love people have for each other will always keep me here. PRAISE GOD – PRAISE GOD- PRAISE GOD! I look forward to many more anniversaries and all what God has plan for Freedom Life Church ;-) There’s much work I need to do and things that God has put on my heart, but with prayer and God on my side, it will happen.
