It was my dog that got hit yesterday. He was a mischievous little booger that escaped whenever he could. My son went to go chase the ice cream truck when Otto chased after him. Unfortunately my little fur baby didnt make it. And my son is really distraught over it. To top off an already horrible situation it was my youngest sons birthday. With all that being said. I do not fully blame the person that hit my dog because he shouldnt have been running around without a leash. But the person didnt show my son any compassion when he needed it. He just left my son and my dog there. He had to run home with the dog in his arms. I a few years ago hit a dog when the dog and I stayed there until the owners got there. We need to find a way of slowing people down. This is a community with a lot of small children and God forbid something happens to them.
