It was one year ago today that my life changed forever. After six years of addiction, I entered into recovery. It has been the hardest year of my life, and I have not been perfect. I still wake up every day with feelings of regret for what I put my family through and knowing how many people I disappointed. Phillippians 3:14 says I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, I may never please another person here in this life, but I pray that I will continue to try to live my life to give God all of the glory, honor and praise. I am thankful, first of all, for God who is carrying me through this journey. Im thankful for the members of my family who have supported me. Todd Olson, New Life Deliverance Center, and Abundant Life Church opened their doors to me when I had no other place to go. And of course, Im thankful for my sweet daughter. She has been through something no child should have to face, but she has stayed strong and I thank God that she still loves her Daddy. I ask that you prayer warriors keep praying for me. Pray for continued healing. Pray for my family. This has not been an easy year for some of them either. In closing, I want to encourage any of you who may be reading this and are still struggling with addiction to get help.
